What is phi alpha honors society?

Phi Alpha Honor Society is a national honor society for social work students. It was founded in 1960 at Michigan State University and now has over 500 chapters across the United States. Phi Alpha's mission is to recognize and encourage high academic achievement among undergraduate and graduate social work students, as well as promote community service and social justice. Membership requirements include a minimum GPA of 3.0, completion of at least nine credit hours in social work courses, and an invitation from a Phi Alpha chapter. Members can benefit from networking opportunities, scholarships, and leadership development programs.
